A Kremlin spokesman has announced the end of the unipolar world and the move towards a multipolar system
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that the US-led unipolar world is coming to an end and that the world is moving towards a multipolar system.
According to Itar-Tass, a Kremlin spokesman said US claims about its desire to lead other countries were nothing more than remnants of a bygone era.
“The statements that America is ready to lead the entire world most likely are a leftover of the past decade. The legacy of the unipolar world,” he said, when asked how it would be better to deal with the US, which is weakening but still acts as an aggressive country.
Kremlin spokesman stressed the need for a fair assessment of the situation, saying the United States was still a superpower given a quarter of the world economy.
“Numerous associations are forming in the world that can compete with and even cross this quarter of the global economy,” he said.
Peskov noted that in recent years, a country has emerged that is able to compete with the United States in various indicators, including purchasing power parity and is even lagging behind the United States, which is China.
Dmitry Peskov said that Biden did not mention equal relations and the need to respect the interests of other countries in his annual address to Congress.
“In any case, the world is multipolar, and President Putin favors equal cooperation rather than following someone else’s leadership,” he said.
He added: “The world is multipolar after all. And President Putin is more of a supporter of equitable cooperation than the one following someone’s lead,” the Kremlin press secretary said.
Hours earlier, Bloomberg News reported that Russia was stepping up its policy of reducing the use of the dollar as a tool to counter-sanctions and that for the first time, the dollar had lost its dominance in Russian exports.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is emphasizing the de-dollarization of these countries in order to reduce the currency’s influence not only in Russia but also in other countries.
On the other hand, Putin believes that de-dollarization could be the best weapon in the context of US sanctions against the country.
Another way for Russia to counter US sanctions has been to increase its gold and euro reserves in international reserves by the central bank.
