Hams leader Khaled Mashal said “The Zionist regime is a danger to the Muslim Ummah”
The head of Hamas outside Palestine Mashal said in an interview on Sunday that the Zionist regime is a danger to the Muslim Ummah.
Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal, the leader of the Hamas movement outside Palestine, said on Sunday that the Palestinian people had been exposed to conspiracies, including the deal of the century, and that Palestinians in Jerusalem had bravely defended Jerusalem and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of the city.
“The resistance entered the fray with the message that we are a united nation and that Gaza is a major part of the Palestinian cause and that it is helping Jerusalem,” he told a news network.
Mashal further warned that the Zionist regime is a danger to the Muslim Ummah and that anyone who believes that Israel was part of the solution is wrong.
The head of Hamas abroad added that the main issue of the movement he is involved in is Palestine and that Hamas is not involved in any foreign conflict.
He referred to the issue of exchanging prisoners with the Zionist regime and said that there is no real progress on the issue of exchanging prisoners, but the resistance knows how to release its prisoners from the prison of the occupiers.
Hamas has captured four Zionists since the summer of 2014, two of whom are soldiers who took part in the Gaza war and two others who entered Gaza illegally. In contrast, 4,500 Palestinian prisoners, including 41 women and 140 Palestinians under the age of 4 and 440 administrative detainees are being held captive by the Zionist regime.
According to reports, in recent weeks Egypt has been working as a mediator between Hamas and the Zionist regime in an attempt to end the issue of captives.
At the beginning of the talks, the occupiers reiterated their first position on the release of captured prisoners in exchange for the lifting of strict measures on the Gaza Strip; But the Palestinian delegation did not back down from its previous position in this regard.
