Government of Afghanistan: Kabul is determined to form a government with the participation of the Taliban.
Hamdullah Moheb, Afghanistan’s national security adviser, said Kabul was determined to form a government with the participation of the Taliban and all other factions.
He added that the Afghan people were not opposed to the Taliban joining the government, but were opposed to the group’s rule and had taken up arms to fight the Taliban.
According to Sputnik, Moheb stressed: “Afghans do not want the Taliban to rule the whole country and dictate how the Afghan people should live.”
Afghanistan’s national security adviser recently referred to the escalation of the recent conflict in the country and said that the Taliban war is not legitimate and the group is trying to gain power.
Moheb also said that the Taliban was a “reality” in Afghanistan and that the government wanted the group to live peacefully with other people.
He had previously told TV One that if the peace talks with the Taliban failed, the government would be ready for any scenario, but that peace would be a priority for the government through negotiations and that it would focus all its efforts on the success of the talks.
