John Bolton called for the overthrow of the Russian government.
The former national security adviser of the White House has called for the overthrow of the current Russian government and the change of the ruling system of this country.
John Bolton, the American national security adviser during the presidency of “Donald Trump” emphasized on Wednesday that only the change of the ruling regime in Russia can fulfill the long-term goals of the United States in Europe.
According to the report of Rashatoudi, Bolton suggested that the United States support the dissidents in the Russian army who can overthrow the government of “Vladimir Putin” through a coup d’état.
In an article published in 1945, Bolton wrote: “Without regime change in Russia, there is no long-term prospect of peace and stability in Europe.”
Bolton also wrote that change in Russia must go beyond replacing Vladimir Putin. He wrote: “The whole Russian system must go.”
During his time in the White House as the national security adviser of the Trump administration, Bolton had repeatedly designed policies to subvert Cuba, Venezuela and Iran. He is also considered as one of the factors that derailed the US negotiations with North Korea. For this reason, Bolton should be fired from the White House in September 2019.
The Kremlin has responded to John Bolton’s claims, saying he is a “victim of countless delusions”. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the issue of who should be in power in Russia has nothing to do with any American citizen, but is a matter for Russia to decide on.
