JCPOA: Abolfazl Amoui regarding today’s meeting of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, said: The special meeting of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission to follow the implementation of the law on strategic action to lift sanctions was held today in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
He stated: In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs while illustrating the process of implementation of the Strategic Action Law by the government, emphasized that different articles of the law are being implemented according to the plan.
The representative of the city of Tehran in the parliament continued: Referring to the implementation of Article 6 of the law, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the representative of the Islamic Republic in JCPOA, Vienna submitted a letter to the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency on October 17, to stop the voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol. The Director-General traveled to Tehran with proposals to examine how Iran and the IAEA would continue to cooperate after the implementation of the law and within the framework of the safeguards, and he had already been told, the implementation of the law would not be neglected.
Amoui stated: Zarif told in the meeting that Grossi, during his visit to Tehran and in technical negotiations with the Atomic Energy Organization, in order to reverse Iran’s action, suggested that the information of the Additional Protocol cameras be kept inside Iran, if within 3 months The West lifted the sanctions, allowing Iran to gain access to the data for continued use.
He added: “Zarif said that according to the agreement between the Director-General of the Agency and the Atomic Energy Organization if we do not reach an agreement during this period, this information will be lost. The Minister of Foreign Affairs presented a report on the latest developments of the IAEA Board, Iran will react seriously if a destructive resolution is issued against Iran at the convention of the Board of Governors. He added, without fulfilling its promises the US has no chance to return to JCPOA.
