Israeli supporters in the British Parliament attempt to include the “IRGC” in the terrorism list.
Lord Stuart Pollack called on the Conservative Party in the House of Lords and the honorary chairman of the Conservative Friends of Israel in the British Parliament to include the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the list of terrorist organizations.
According to the British website “Joyesh News”, the pro-Israel representative requested in the session of the House of Lords that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, such as Hamas and Hezbollah, be included in the list of British terrorist organizations.
“His Highness the government correctly listed Hezbollah,” he said yesterday, accusing resistance groups in the region such as Hezbollah. Hezbollah is made up of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, so [can] I ask my dear friend, the Minister (of Foreign Affairs), to pressure his colleagues in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to completely list the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (terrorist organizations)? ? ».
However, Lord Sharp, a senior spokesman for the British government, told the Conservative MP that the government would not comment on which organizations should be removed or added to the list of terrorist groups.
“The government has repeatedly called on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to stabilize its activities, including providing political, financial and military support to several banned militant groups throughout the region, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria, and Iraqi and Houthi militias in the region,” he said.
