Israeli army on high alert on the Syrian-Lebanese border after the Erbil attack.
Zionist sources told Al-Sharq al-Awsat that Iran’s move to accept responsibility for the missile attack on two Israeli sites in Erbil was provocative.
Al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper, in a report published in English on Friday, quoted security sources in Tel Aviv as saying that the Zionist army was ready on the Syrian-Lebanese border for fear of retaliation by Iran.
“Iran has taken a very provocative step by claiming responsibility for the attack on an ‘Israeli site’ in Erbil with 12 ballistic missiles,” Al-Sharq al-Awsat quoted the sources as saying.
According to the report, the Zionist regime has also declared a state of readiness at its diplomatic headquarters in the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is Iran’s northern neighbor.
“Israeli sources have condemned US warnings that the April bombing of Iran targeted Israeli training sites and warned that the move would only do more harm than good,” Sharq al-Awsat reported.
It is not clear what Al-Sharq al-Awsat means by “bombing Iran in April” because April this year has not yet begun and Iran did not attack Israeli training facilities last April that the Americans had exposed.
However, if “April” is omitted from the phrase, it could be said that it refers to the recent rocket attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on two Mossad training centers in Erbil. Following the attack, several US officials acknowledged that the site targeted by Iran had been used by Mossad.
Iran targeted two advanced Mossad spy training centers in northern Iraq with ballistic missiles last Sunday morning.
“The repetition of any evil will face harsh, decisive and destructive responses,” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement, referring to the strategic targeting of the Zionist conspiracy and evil by point-to-point missiles.
