Islamic Jihad: Palestinian prisoners will not surrender to Israel / Quds has been and will be the axis of the conflict.
“Nafiz Azzam,” a member of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, said that Quds has always been and will always be at the center of the Palestinian question and the center of the conflict.
In an interview with the Rajin network, he said: “The resistance did its job with courage and sacrificed many of its leaders and members in defense of Palestine, Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
“The Palestinians have made great sacrifices over the years and continue to defend their freedom and dignity despite being under severe siege,” Azzam said.
A member of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement continued: “Quds does not belong only to the Palestinians, but also to the Arabs and Muslims.” All the facilities of the ummah must be mobilized to help Quds, because Quds is the issue of every Muslim, Arab and Palestinian citizen and the axis of the conflict.
He said: “The occupying Zionist regime enjoys the support of major countries. The international community ignores the crimes of the Zionist regime and the Arab countries are negligent in this regard, and some of them are even moving towards normalizing relations with Israel. The Zionist regime has given a lot of courage to continue the crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people.
In another part of his speech, Azzam said: “Palestinian prisoners have not surrendered to the repressive and brutal actions of the Zionist regime.”
A member of the political bureau of the Islamic Jihad said that the prisoners of this movement are not alone in confronting the repressions and terrorist acts of the Zionist regime.
“Israel ignores all the resolutions, but the will of the captives will never be broken,” Azzam said.
Emphasizing that Islamic Jihad is interested in having strong relations with all parties, he said: “The relations of this movement with the relations of Hamas are excellent relations and the cooperation between the two movements is strategic.”
Asked about the ceasefire with the Zionist regime, Azzam said: “None of the mediators have spoken to us about this and no one has proposed a long-term ceasefire.”
