Within hours of a hospital fire southeast of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killing dozens of civilians, Israeli journalist Edy Cohen took to Twitter to sprinkle hate and bigotry against Iraqis.
The Iraqi government declared public mourning after dozens were killed and injured in a fire at Baghdad’s Ibn al-Khatib Hospital, and Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi called for an immediate investigation to identify the culprits and punish them.
Meanwhile, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights called for the resignation of the Iraqi Minister of Health Hassan al-Tamimi.
All Iraqis are deeply saddened, and they followed this on social media, expressing their deep sorrow over this tragedy because most of the victims were coronary patients, but their fate was to die because of the fire and suffocation.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Health Minister Saeed Namaki, and Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed their condolences to the Iraqi people and government. Canadian Ambassador to Iraq Ulrik Shannon also expressed his condolences to the victims of the fire.
But Zionist journalist Edy Cohen looked at the issue in a different way, expressing his hatred for Iraq and the Iraqi people, saying that the events in Iraq were punishment for Iraqis for displacing Jews by former Iraqi rulers.
Social media users, however, reminded Cohen of the fact that Mossad itself had displaced Jews from Iraq. They asked about the punishment for killing Diryasin and displacing Palestinians and their other crimes against Palestinians, that there is evidence in the world.
His hatred towards the Iraqis shows the hypocrisy of the Zionist state regarding Arab Muslims.
