Today, Saturday, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi met with Ahmed Abul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, to discuss the latest developments in the region and the world, as well as issues in the Arab world.
The Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement: Al-Kadhimi emphasized the active presence of the Arab League and its development in a way that serves the Arab nations.
“Iraq supports plans to end the conflict in Yemen,” he said.
The Iraqi Prime Minister also announced his country’s support for Lebanon to overcome its difficult situation.
Regarding Syria, he said: “Iraq supports Syria’s return to the Arab League and holding internal talks there.”
Referring to the role that the Arab League can play in strengthening ties and resolving disputes and establishing stability among the countries of the region, the Iraqi Minister said: “The issue of Palestine should be at the top of our priorities because the Palestinian people continue to suffer.” Exposed to historical oppression.
