Iraqi analyst: The Zionist occupiers in Iraq will not be accepted.
Talking to Fars about the reasons for the Zionist regime in Iraq, the Iraqi analyst said that the occupiers will never be accepted in Iraq.
In an exclusive interview, Sabah al-Akili, a senior Iraqi analyst and member of the Al-Hadaf political analysis and media network, described the Zionist regime’s destructive activities in the Iraqi Kurdistan region. The full text of this interview is below.
Fars: The presence of the Zionist regime in Iraqi Kurdistan is an important issue these days in the region. What do you think are the most important manifestations of this presence?
Sabah Al-Akili: The presence of the Zionist regime in the region in general and the existence of bases for it in northern Iraq are efforts to be located near Iraq and close to the borders of Iran. The reason for pursuing such a goal is that the occupying regime considers Iran an existential threat; Therefore, with the cooperation of the Kurdistan Region, it is trying to shape this presence. A presence that is a real threat not only to Iran, but also to Iraq. Especially if we look at this issue in relation to the historical positions of Iraq; In particular, the role that the Baghdad government has always played in the Arab-Zionist conflict and its strong support for the Palestinian cause.
Sabah Al-Akili: Iraq is still part of the axis of resistance and is an important branch of it, which has stood and will stand with force against the presence of this occupying regime in the heart of the Islamic Ummah and the Arab nations. In addition, the Iraqi constitution explicitly opposes the use of national territories to target neighboring countries and denies that they have become a platform for aggression. Recently, Iraq has witnessed political and legal efforts to criminalize the efforts of individuals and institutions to establish any relationship with the Zionist regime, according to the constitution.
Fars: Mossad is said to be active in the Iraqi Kurdistan region; How and in what form is this activity done?
Sabah Al-Akili: It is clear that the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and especially the Barzani family, has a relationship with the Zionist regime that began during the time of Mustafa Barzani and continues to this day; So such a relationship between Erbil and Tel Aviv is not new. But the difference at the present time is that Barzani can easily raise this relationship, and nothing prevents him from establishing relations with the Zionists; An issue that creates an official position for all Kurds. If the Barzanis provide an opportunity to announce this relationship, they will be able to go beyond the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime and officially announce the presence of Mossad in northern Iraq. An issue that may lead to more practical steps and a step forward; Kurdistan’s service to Tel Aviv could lead to the Zionist regime’s support for the secession of Erbil and the announcement of the Kurdish government, followed by the announcement of diplomatic relations between Erbil and the Zionist regime.
