Iraq opposes the investigation of issues related to Hashd al-Shaabi by the Americans.
Iraqi political analyst Haitham al-Khazali emphasized that the security delegation that recently traveled to the United States met with American officials with a clear ruling view that the mission of international forces should be limited to providing military and educational advice. The members of the said delegation emphasized in their meetings that the American forces should remain in Iraq in a certain number for the purpose of providing military and educational advice.
Al-Khazali emphasized: In addition, the number of these forces and their location in Iraq should be known. This is the first achievement of the Iraqi delegation in America. The members of this board also opposed the review of the special budget for the Hashd al-Shaabi forces because this budget had been objected to by the United States.
He clarified: The Iraqi delegation emphasized in these meetings that the budget of the Hashd al-Shaabi forces is an internal issue.
Iraq’s Al-Maloumah news site previously wrote about America’s blackmailing of this country: Americans actually blackmailed the high-ranking Iraqi security delegation that had traveled to America. They claimed that the completion of the process of arming the Iraqi army depends on the commitment of the country’s government to dissolve the Hashd al-Shaabi organization, which is considered the guarantor of Iraq’s security.
According to this report, the Americans also requested the deployment of 150,000 Syrian Kurdish militias known as QSD to protect the borders of Iraq and Syria.
Aed Al-Hilali, one of the leaders of the Fatah coalition in Iraq, emphasized that these blackmails are the most dangerous issues the Americans could raise to the Iraqi Security Council.
He added: The Iraqi government remaining in the arms agreements with the United States is to the detriment of this country. Washington has opposed the purchase of military fighters by Iraq from France. The Americans do not adhere to any of the provisions of the arms contracts with Iraq so they have implemented some of these provisions after eight years of signing them.
