Iran’s Election: Simultaneously with the start of the presidential, council, and the mid-term elections of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and leadership experts in Iran, many of the world’s leading print and electronic media put it at the top of their news.
AFP, Reuters, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Le Monde, Figaro, SPIEGEL, Zoddeutsche Zeitung, Bild, Austrian Standard, CNN, El Pais, France 24, BBC, bulk The Persian-speaking media made the news of the beginning of the Iranian elections at the top of their news and each of them covered this event with different headlines.
France 24 news channel covered the presence of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in the polling station in the very first minutes of voting.
Most of the foreign media in their news and reports on Iran’s election has used the images of today’s people at the ballot box while wearing masks to observe the health procedures.

According to the Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, 500 foreign journalists from 226 international media outlets from five continents will cover Iran’s 1,400 elections.
The 13th presidential election, the Islamic Council, between the 5th term of the Assembly of Experts and the 6th term of the city and village council elections, started at 7 am today, June 19th, all over Iran. The mid-term elections of the 11th Majlis will be held in 6 constituencies of Tehran, Tafresh, Kaboudar Ahang, Gachsaran, Astaneh Ashrafieh, and Miyaneh. The mid-term elections of the 5th Assembly of Experts will be held in 4 constituencies of Tehran, Qom, Khorasan Razavi, and Mazandaran.
According to the election headquarters, the number of eligible people in this election is 59,310,307, of which 1,392,148 are the first votes, the election process will continue until midnight and it is possible to extend the hours.
