International community must be responsible towards Afghanistan.
At the end of their meeting in Riyadh, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the GCC member states issued a statement expressing their support for the Afghan people.
The statement called on the international community to take responsibility for Afghanistan and for providing humanitarian assistance to the country.
The statement further stressed the need to prevent all countries from interfering in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.
Gulf Cooperation Council member states also called on the Taliban to continue talks to resolve the Afghan crisis. According to the statement, Afghans themselves must take action to resolve the crisis in their country, and all parties must engage in inclusive dialogue in that country.
The statement also stressed the need for non-use of Afghan territory by terrorist groups and drug exports.
