Inconclusive meeting of the Security Council about Gaza with the support of the West from Tel Aviv.
The emergency meeting of the Security Council to review the situation in the Gaza Strip following the recent attacks of the Zionist regime on this region, following the support of the Western countries to Tel Aviv, ended without any results.
A special meeting of the UN Security Council regarding the new war of the Zionist interim regime against the Gaza Strip, chaired by the representative of China, was held on Tuesday morning at the organization’s headquarters in New York.
As the first speaker in this meeting, Thor Vansland, the representative of the United Nations for West Asian affairs, presented a report on the current situation of occupied Palestine and said: “The Israeli military has increased the speed of its operations in the West Bank, especially in the Jenin camp.”
According to “Al Jazeera” website, Vansland explained: “We are committed to continue communicating with the parties to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire in Gaza. The complete closure of the crossings of the Gaza Strip by Israel for six days caused a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
He said about the critical situation of the people of the Gaza Strip: “The lack of medicine and equipment has aggravated the effects of the recent tensions in Gaza. The ceasefire in Gaza remains fragile. At the same time as the ceasefire took effect last night, Gaza was on the verge of human collapse.
The UN official added: “The cycles of violence in Gaza will not stop unless a political solution to the conflict is reached that ends the occupation.” Any resumption of conflicts will have devastating effects on both sides.
Later, Riyad Mansour, the representative of Palestine at the United Nations, gave a speech and said: “Israel claims the right to security for itself and justifies oppression against a nation. Israel always claims the right to defend itself even when attacking Palestinians.
Stating that what Israel calls the right to security has become a license to kill Palestinians, Mansour explained: “Two things do not change in Israel’s policy, the bombing of Gaza and the expansion of settlements. The aggression to Gaza is unjustified and the main reason for it is the upcoming Israeli elections.
