European-Mediterranean Human Rights Watch strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s non-cooperation with the International Criminal Court. The court recently announced that it has been investigating possible war crimes in the Occupied Palestinian Territories since 1967.
Human Rights Watch stressed that this decision of the Zionist regime is due to the fact that the officials of this Zionist regime are well aware that the Zionist army has committed aggressions that may reach the border of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The Palestinian news agency Safa quoted the organization as saying, “This shows why the regime is not cooperating with any international investigation to avoid imposing punishment.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed yesterday that the court had no authority to launch such an investigation and that Tel Aviv would not cooperate.
Human Rights Watch called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to launch an investigation into the allegations and to ensure that the perpetrators of this crime do not shirk their responsibilities.
Emphasizing the need to develop a mechanism to bring justice to the victims of rape and bring the perpetrators to justice, the organization called on EU countries to support the issue.
