Taliban sources reported the occurrence of floods in Nuristan in the western province of this country.
According to Bakhtar, the local authorities of the Taliban announced that the flood in Nuristan in the west of the country caused many casualties and financial losses.
According to these officials, as a result of this incident, 9 people were killed and 10 others were injured and were transferred to the hospital of this province for further treatment.
Taliban officials also announced that an important bridge that connects the two provinces of Kunar and Nuristan was also completely destroyed in this flood.
In recent days, floods have caused damage and loss of lives in other provinces of Afghanistan, including in the south of the country.
According to public sources, the number of flood casualties has increased to 53 dead and more than 70 injured only in Kandahar and Zabul provinces.
On the other hand, local sources in Uruzgan province also announced that 15 people died and six others went missing due to flooding in Gizab city of this province.
Before this, the local authorities of Logar and Paktia provinces had also announced that following the flooding in these two provinces, hundreds of hectares of agricultural land and dozens of residential houses of the residents of these areas were destroyed.
During the last few weeks, Afghanistan has witnessed the occurrence of natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, and there has been heavy rain and snow.
According to the officials of the caretaker government of Afghanistan, as a result of the recent devastating floods and earthquakes in this country, 1,900 people have died, 2,000 thousand people have been injured, and thousands of livestock and houses have been destroyed.
