Heavy casualties of ISIL and UAE-affiliated mercenaries in Yemeni airstrikes
A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said that Yemeni forces fired missiles and rockets at ISIL gathering centers and UAE-affiliated elements in Shabwa this afternoon.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sari announced the attack on the positions of ISIL and al-Qaeda elements and UAE-affiliated mercenaries in Shabwa.
Al-Masira news network reported quickly, quoting Yemeni forces, that this afternoon, they targeted missile gathering centers of ISIL and UAE-affiliated elements in Shabwa with rockets and rockets.
He reported that a large number of these elements were killed and wounded during the attacks.
According to Sari, the invading Saudi-Emirati fighter jets also bombed Ma’rib and Shabwa provinces 43 times in the past hours.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, it was reported that Sanaa forces had prevented the advance of UAE mercenaries in Shabwa province (southern Yemen) and Ma’rib province (central Yemen).
He also said that heavy damage was inflicted on ISIS elements affiliated with the UAE and its mercenaries, killing and wounding dozens of them.
A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces stressed that Sanaa forces had killed 515 UAE mercenaries and ISIS members, including several commanders, and wounded more than 850.
Sari also added, citing intelligence data, that 200 UAE-affiliated mercenaries and ISIS members were also missing.
Sari stressed the full readiness to defend Yemen, its people and confront the UAE until victory, warning that the consequences of the UAE’s tense actions will be severe and that the UAE must bear the consequences of this tension.
There have been fierce clashes between Emirati mercenaries and the Yemeni army and popular committees in Shabwa province for some time. Yemeni forces have shot down two UAE spy drones over the past week during a hostile operation in the south.
