Haniyeh: Hamas’s relation with Iran is a strong pillar in support of the Palestinian resistance.
Referring to Tehran’s role in supporting the Palestinian resistance, the head of the Hamas political bureau said that the Zionist enemy thinks that he can break the will of our nation through siege and aggression, but this is an illusion.
Hamas’s political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh praised Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun’s support for the Palestinian cause.
“We believe that normalization is a poisoned dagger on the side of the Palestinian people and a passage through which the [Zionist] regime can spread in the region,” Safa news agency quoted Haniyeh as saying.
“Anyone who thinks that normalization will consolidate legitimacy or increase its influence is wrong,” he said. “Because normalization in general is evil and only benefits the Zionist regime.”
“Hamas’s relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are a strong pillar in support of the Palestinian resistance,” Haniyeh said.
The Hamas official continued: “Algeria’s firm, clear and unequivocal position on rejecting normalization is the greatest support of the Palestinian people and resistance … We are against any agreement with Israel; “Whether it is political or security.”
“We reject and condemn any security, political or economic agreement with the Zionist enemy … Agreements with Israel are to the detriment of our nation and will consolidate dominance in the Arab region,” Haniyeh said.
“We have a strategy of communicating with everyone; “Without compromising our principles and positions or legitimizing any action in the field of normalization.”
“The Palestinian resistance needs its neighbors and its support in order to achieve the liberation [of Palestine],” the head of Hamas’s political bureau concluded, stressing the need to rescind normalization agreements.
