Hamas official: We are proud of our relations with Iran.
The head of Hamas’ Arab-Islamic Relations Office said the movement was proud of its relations with Iran and would never hide it, adding that Iran’s support had strengthened the resistance.
“We are trying to end the siege of the Gaza Strip by any means,” said Khalil al-Hayat, head of Hamas’ Arab and Islamic relations office.
“We are proud of our relations with Iran, we do not hide it, and we welcome any support for Palestine and Jerusalem,” Shahab quoted Al-Haya as saying.
“Iran supports Hamas in every way and this support continues,” he said, noting that Iran’s support has been and is a contributing factor to the strength and ability of the resistance in Palestine.
“The countries, individuals or institutions that have normalized their relations with Israel are in fact stabbing the Palestinian people in the back,” al-Hayat said, referring to countries that have normalized relations with Israel.
He said that Hamas separates the prisoner exchange case from the case of ending the siege, noting that the Zionist regime is obstructing the exchange of prisoners.
