The Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement called on the Palestinian people to take part in a march to mark the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque fire.
According to the international group Tasnim News Agency, the Hamas movement yesterday in a statement on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque fire, called the Al-Aqsa Mosque the red line of the Palestinians and called for widespread participation in the march to mark the anniversary of the fire.
The statement from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement said: “Our nation will cut off the hands of those who want to attack Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Referring to the arrest and deportation of Sheikh Raed Salah (head of the Palestinian Islamic Movement in the Occupied Territories) from Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hamas said the move was an attempt to gain control of the holy site from the Zionist enemy.
The Zionist regime on Tuesday extended the solitary confinement of Sheikh Raed Salah, the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Movement in the Occupied Territories of 1948, for another six months.
At the end of the call, it was emphasized that the unity of the word and the united positions of the Palestinians is the strongest weapon against the occupiers and their sinister plans.
On August 21, 1969, Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first Muslim qibla and one of the holiest temples revered by the heavenly religions, was set on fire by the Zionist occupiers.
An extremist Jew named “Michael Dins Rohan” set fire to the eastern part of Al-Aqsa Mosque, during which various parts, including the historical pulpit known as Salahuddin pulpit, were set on fire.
