Following the recent breakdown in relations between Saudi Arabia and the Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz stressed that Saudi Arabia’s secession from Hamas owed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman a dowry to marry Tel Aviv.
The Hebrew newspaper wrote in a report that Israel is the determining factor in changing Saudi Arabia’s relations with Hamas, which called for a complete separation between them, and that Muhammad bin Salman is very willing to establish relations with Israel; Because he believes that establishing diplomatic relations with Israel can protect him from the consequences of his mistakes, especially the assassination of “Jamal Khashoggi”, a critical Saudi journalist inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
According to the newspaper, “Hamas refused to escalate relations with Saudi Arabia to a reasonable extent after the Saudi judiciary’s harsh rulings against its members, and its statement was neutral in this regard, and therefore wanted to inform bin Salman that it was still hopeful.” The two sides can resolve their differences, but it seems that the irreversible divorce between Hamas and Saudi Arabia is part of the dowry that bin Salman offers Israel to build closer and non-secret relations, as well as an effort to protect the throne and Strengthen the power of your regions.
“Israel is pleased to see differences between Saudi Arabia and Hamas and Saudi-Palestinian relations in general, and Israel and former US President Donald Trump have helped to widen the differences,” Haaretz reported.
The newspaper further stated that Bin Salman strongly believes that the improvement of relations with Washington will be possible through Tel Aviv and therefore wants to gain immunity that will protect him from the consequences of his mistakes and prove himself as “Israel’s closest ally.”
The Saudi Crown Prince believes he can gain Israeli support for his government through Republicans and Democrats loyal to Israel.
