Fulfillment of Riyadh’s demands is a condition for Biden’s trip to Saudi Arabia.
A member of Saudi Arabia’s parliament has announced that the US president’s visit to Riyadh has been postponed due to a response to Saudi requests.
Ibrahim al-Nahs, a member of the Saudi parliament, said US President Joe Biden’s visit to Riyadh, scheduled for this month, had been postponed until Washington responded to Riyadh’s demands.
Al-Nahs said in an interview with Saudi Al-Akhbariya that accepting Riyadh’s arrangements to serve its interests is an important principle for Biden and that Saudi Arabia is working with those who work for the interests of the two nations and for the security, peace and stability of the region. They do, they cooperate.
According to the Al-Khaleej Online website, the Saudi member of parliament stressed that “Biden’s possible visit to Saudi Arabia will have many benefits for the region, the United States and Saudi Arabia.”
Earlier, the American network “NBC News” announced the postponement of Biden’s trip to the region and said that his trip has been postponed until next July.
In recent months, the United States has sought to persuade Saudi Arabia to pump more oil to reduce the effects of the war on global energy resources, following the start of Russian military operations in Ukraine.
