According to the Shafqna translation service, quoting Arab media, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia has stated in a statement that the government of Riyadh strongly condemns the permission of the Swedish authorities to one of the radical elements to burn the Holy Quran in front of the Turkish embassy.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasized that this country defends the expansion of the values of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue and countering extremism and hatred.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan also considered the action of “Rasmus Paludan”, the leader of the extreme right-wing party “Sturm Kors” to spread violence and hatred and a threat to peaceful coexistence and strongly condemned it.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan also issued a statement condemning the burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden and asked the international community to take a united stand against Islamophobia and incitement to violence.
The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned this incident and demanded to counter hateful and violent words.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu criticized Sweden for giving permission to burn the Koran and said that racism and hatred cannot be considered as freedom of opinion.
The Turkish Foreign Minister said: “Today, they don’t allow burning another book, but when it comes to the Koran, the holy book of Islam, and hostility to Islam, they immediately call this issue freedom of expression and freedom of opinion.”
Yemen’s Ansarullah movement also issued a statement calling the Swedish government responsible for the consequences of insulting Islamic sanctities and emphasized that what happened is very vicious and shows an irresponsible face for a government that allows such actions.
“Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah”, the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, also condemned the insult of some extremist groups to the Holy Quran and burning it and warned about its consequences.
Al-Sabah said: “This incident has hurt the feelings of Muslims around the world and it can be a dangerous provocative act for them.”
He called on the international community to fulfill its responsibility to stop these unacceptable actions, any kind of hatred and extremism and punish its perpetrators, as well as promote the values of dialogue, tolerance and peaceful coexistence between nations and prevent any insult to heavenly religions. .
