According to Al Jazeera, Finance Minister Chuguel Kokala Maiga told Russian media that he had evidence that France was training “terrorist” groups operating in the African country.
According to the Prime Minister of Mali, French forces have established a fenced area in the northern Saharan city of Mali and handed it over to a terrorist group called Ansar al-Din, an al-Qaeda affiliate.
He added that the financial army has been barred from entering the area.
“Mali has no access to the city of Kidal, which is under siege and under French control,” Rashatoudi was quoted as saying by RFE / RL in an interview with RIA Novosti on Friday.
The Prime Minister of Mali further noted that these terrorist groups “entered the country from Libya.”
A few days ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the French ambassador to France and expressed his protest against the recent criticism of French President Emmanuel Macron of the financial government.
It is noteworthy that last June, the French government announced the withdrawal of its troops from the coastal region following the exercise of control over Mali in August 2020, which led to the ouster of President-elect Ibrahim Bobacar Keita.
Subsequently, Colonel Asimi Gwita, who led the August 2020 coup, established an interim civilian government, and shortly afterwards, in a second coup in May 2021, ousted the leaders of the interim government.
