Fox News outlets have reported on alleged corruption involving Biden and his son in the Ukrainian government.
According to Fox News, “Viktor Shukin”, the former prosecutor of Ukraine, in an interview with Fox News, linked the reason for his dismissal during the Obama administration to the investigation of the Bursima energy company. The company that Hunter Biden, the son of the then vice president of the United States, was part of the board of directors and Shukin was investigating.
In the interview, Shukin says that it is his “strong personal belief” that Biden and Hunter took bribes and in return pressured the Ukrainian government to fire him.
“I have repeatedly said in our previous conversations that Poroshenko fired me at Biden’s insistence because I was investigating Burisma,” Shukin said.
The Ukrainian official added: “Poroshenko and Biden realized that if I had continued my investigation into Borsima, I would have found the facts about the economic corruption they were involved in.”
“I don’t want to say unproven things, but it’s my personal strong belief that yes, it was,” Shokin emphasized. They were taking bribes and the fact that Joe Biden spent a billion dollars of American money to get me fired. Isn’t this in itself a sign of corruption?”
Earlier, the US House of Representatives Oversight Committee, referring to the testimony of Devon Archer, business partner and friend of Hunter Biden, the son of US President Joe Biden, announced that Biden Sr., when he was the vice president of the then US President Barack Obama, through a call On the phone and attending dinner dates, he was involved in his son’s foreign transactions and lied to the American people.
Archer’s testimony confirms that Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he was unaware of his son’s business dealings and had no involvement in them, the House Oversight Committee statement said.
In another part of this statement, it is stated: Joe Biden personally participated in Hunter Biden’s dinner meetings with his foreign partners more than 20 times during his time as vice president.
Dan Goldman, a member of the US Congress, had previously said that there was no indication that Joe Biden knew the parties behind the phone line, and further denied any connection between the US president and his son’s business dealings.
Archer’s testimony comes amid lawmakers’ investigation into possible criminal activity by the Biden family, including political influence in foreign transactions.
The Oversight Committee of the US House of Representatives is investigating the involvement of the Biden family in a multi-million dollar bribery scheme with the involvement of executive directors of the Ukrainian Burisma Energy Company.
The statement of the oversight committee also states that the executive directors of this energy company “constantly pressured Hunter Biden” to seek help from the US government to resolve the investigation of Viktor Shokin, the then Attorney General of Ukraine, about the company’s corruption.
According to Archer, Hunter Biden and two of the company’s executives called “Washington, D.C. to discuss the matter.” Also, in 2014, Joe and Hunter Biden met with Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow. The Biden administration has not specifically included Baturina in the list of government sanctions against Moscow. Joe Biden has previously denied all allegations of involvement or knowledge of his son’s foreign dealings.
