Former Qatari PM Emphasizes On The Need For Cooperation Of Arab Countries With Iran.
Hamad bin Jassim Al-Thani, in a conversation with Bloomberg Network, expressed some kind of concern about confronting Iran through military means and said that no one wants it because “it is not in our interest”.
The former Prime Minister of Qatar stated in this conversation that took place on February 14 in Doha: My first concern is not Iran, my first concern is us in the region, how we behave. I mean leaders, I’m not one of them.
He emphasized that there are some differences between this and that country, but these differences should be discussed in a civilized manner.
Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani clarified the military confrontation: This decision is not ours because we are not in a position to take the leadership of the region and say that we have a problem with Iran, sit down with them, and discuss the details openly. Let’s reach a solution.
This former senior official of Qatar believes that Iran, Iraq, and the Cooperation Council countries should live in harmony in the Persian Gulf region. He added that this is a great success for peace, trade, business, and the economy.
