Former intelligence officer of the Zionist regime: I am worried about the future of Israel.
The former official the former head of the Intelligence and Internal Security Organization of the Zionist regime has expressed his concern for the future of this regime by criticizing the judicial reform plan.
Nadav Argaman, the former head of the Zionist Intelligence and Internal Security Organization (Shabak or Shin Bet), expressed concern about the judicial reform plan of Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of this regime, and considered it a prelude to civil war.
In an interview with the Zionist Army Radio, Argaman asked Netanyahu to withdraw from the judicial reform plan.
He also said that Benjamin Netanyahu did not come to power through “democratic elections” to destroy “Israeli democracy”.
This former Shabak official said about Netanyahu: “He is not as committed to Israel as when I knew him. “I think he feels more committed to an impossible coalition.”
Argaman’s interview was conducted shortly after the Knesset’s (Israeli Parliament) Judiciary Committee cleared the way for two votes next Monday to advance Netanyahu’s controversial plan.
Since assuming the post of Prime Minister, Netanyahu has announced that he will not stop this plan despite the massive protests against him and his cabinet over the controversial judicial plan.
Opponents of this plan say that Netanyahu’s goal is to reduce the power of the judiciary in occupied Palestine. This plan contains proposals to limit the power of the Supreme Court of the Zionist regime. But Netanyahu and the supporters of this plan argue that the judiciary has too much power and interferes with the functioning of the executive branch.
The proposal of judicial reforms has caused massive protests against it in the big cities of occupied Palestine. Protesters say Netanyahu is trying to protect himself from corruption charges by weakening the judiciary. According to these protesters, Netanyahu’s proposed reforms could make it easier to evade prosecution against him in corruption cases.
Argaman said: “This plan is expected to be voted on Monday. I am worried that after this we will become a different country. “I am worried about the independence of our judges and about Israel.”
He referred to Netanyahu’s plan as a “terrible plan” and asked the head of Shabak to show Netanyahu what the consequences of its approval would be.
