Five possible scenarios for the start of a world war in 2023.
Security affairs expert Robert Farley wrote on the 1945 website: After the end of the Cold War era, in 2022, more than ever, the possibility of a military conflict between world superpowers was created. However, in the next year (2023) there is a possibility of nuclear war in five different scenarios:
1. Ukraine crisis
Although the possibility of a direct military conflict between NATO and Russia in Ukraine is weak, the possibility of tension in this issue will still exist. If the two sides take tense and risky decisions in 2023, we may see the start of World War III in Ukraine.
2. Taiwan
The differences between Washington and Beijing on the issue of Taiwan can also enter more dangerous stages and intensify concerns. Therefore, any conflict in this region, due to the addition of America and Japan, will lead to the start of a new world war.
3. Turkey and Greece
Although Turkey and Greece are both NATO members, they have had hostile relations in recent months. Although the possibility of a NATO member country attacking another member country of this international agreement is far from the mind, the history of conflicts between Turkey and Greece in the past has kept alive the possibility of a major war between the two sides.
4. North Korea
In recent months, tensions on the Korean peninsula have increased significantly. It is possible that these tensions will eventually end in a devastating war using classical and even nuclear weapons.
5. India and China
Tensions between New Delhi and Beijing on border issues could escalate to the point of military conflict, which would have dire consequences. Considering that the two countries have nuclear weapons, the possibility of a dangerous war between the two sides is not out of mind.
