A bomb blast near the northern city of Baghdad has killed at least five Iraqi people, Iraqi sources say.
Iraqi sources reported today morning (Friday) that a bomb had exploded in the path of a patrol of the Iraqi Federal Police in Kirkuk province (northern Iraq).
The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a convoy in the Wadi al-Hammamat area of Kirkuk province, al-Sumeria news website reported, quoting a security source.
The source added that five soldiers were killed in the blast.
Russia Today reported, quoting its correspondent in Iraq, that ISIL was responsible for the blast.
Russia Today added that ISIL elements also fired an RPG rocket after the bomb exploded.
The report quoted an Iraqi security source as saying that a number of military personnel were killed in the blast, But the final casualties are still unknown.
