Fifteen Palestinian journalists are being held captive by the Zionist regime.
A Palestinian prisoner rights group has announced that 15 Palestinian journalists are being held in harsh conditions in Israeli prisons.
On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, a non-governmental group called the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club issued a statement regarding the continued detention of Palestinian journalists by the interim Zionist regime.
The group said in a statement that the authorities of the occupying Israeli regime continue to persecute Palestinian journalists with their repressive and systematic policies, the most obvious of which is their detention.
“Since the beginning of this year, the occupying regime has continued to detain journalists and activists and has carried out numerous attacks against them, resulting in injuries to their ranks, especially as the current conflict in Jerusalem and the West Bank intensifies,” the statement said. Which happened last April.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said that the authorities of the occupying regime continue to detain 15 journalists, including “Bashara al-Tawil”, a Palestinian female journalist who is in administrative detention, and that the conditions of detention are the same as all male and female prisoners in the regime’s prisons. The occupiers are acting for them.
