Erdogan: Those who underestimate Russia are wrong.
While warning about Europe’s provocative actions against Moscow, the Turkish president said that Russia should not be underestimated.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned on Wednesday in Serbia about Europeans underestimating Russia.
According to “Anatolia” news agency, Erdogan said during his trip to the Balkan countries: “I tell those who underestimate Russia that you are wrong.”
The Turkish president added that the war between Russia and Ukraine does not seem to end in the near future and the Europeans should have thought about the energy crisis before.
Erdogan also accused the Western countries of “provoking” Russia and said that he was forced to cut off Europe’s energy in response to Russia.
He also emphasized that his country has adopted a balanced position towards Russia and Ukraine and is looking for a solution to this crisis.
The President of Turkey continued his remarks and said that the positive impetus created among the Balkan countries should continue because these countries cannot endure more of these hardships.
On Friday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in Serbia that his country will guarantee the supply of gas to the Balkan countries in winter.
Cavusoglu said at a meeting in Belgrade: “The war in Europe is a wake-up call. We see how vulnerable we are to different shocks. winter is coming”. (More details)
