English parliamentarian: The opponents of the king should leave England.
Following the demonstrations of the opponents of the monarchy in England, at the same time as the coronation of Charles III, the representative of the British Parliament and the deputy head of the conservative party asked the opponents to emigrate from England.
“Lee Anderson” posted a message on Twitter and wrote:
not my king If you don’t want to live in a country with a monarchy, the solution is not to protest with stupid slogans, the solution is to emigrate.
British police said they arrested the leader of the republican anti-royalist group and 51 others at the coronation of King Charles III on Saturday.
According to reports, hundreds of yellow-clad demonstrators gathered in a crowd on the march route in central London to distinguish themselves from those dressed in red, white and blue and holding signs reading “Not my king”.
The Republic group also confirmed that their leader, Graham Smith, had been arrested before the march began, and photos were released on social media showing police officers confiscating protesters’ placards. Republic supporters say they staged the biggest protest against a British monarch in the country’s modern history, and protesters began booing the royal family as King Charles and Queen Camilla made their way into Westminster Abbey.
Demonstrations were also held in Glasgow, Scotland, and Cardiff, Wales, with participants holding signs that read: “Abolish the monarchy, the people need it.” On social media, many compared the UK’s cost of living crisis to the pomp and ceremony of the coronation.
Polls also show that support for the monarchy is on the wane, with the royal family in the weakest position among young people.
