According to this English publication, the delivery of these helicopters to Ukraine will take place after the delivery of “Challenger 2” tanks from London to Kiev.
Also, this publication quoted sources from the British Ministry of Defense and wrote that London hopes that other NATO members will “take this process.”
According to the report of this English publication, Apache helicopters are equipped with “Hellfire” anti-tank missiles and have significant tactical importance on the battlefield and play a significant role.
The British government announced yesterday (Saturday) that it will send 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
Expressing concern and fear of Russia’s predictable attack in the spring, Ukraine asked its Western allies to commit to sending heavy weapons, including Western-made tanks, to Kiev. These heavy weapons were not initially included in military aid packages.
Since the beginning of the country’s military operations in Ukraine in late February 2022, Russian officials have always emphasized that sending weapons to Ukraine will only prolong the war, and as a result, these weapons will be “legitimate targets” for Moscow.
