Dozens of reserve officers in the Zionist army joined the opposition.
According to Palestine Online, 161 air force reserve officers of the Zionist regime announced that they will stop voluntary service in the Israeli army in protest of the judicial reform bill of Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet.
These Zionist officers sent their request in the form of a written message with their names and signatures to the military commanders of the Zionist regime. This letter was also published in the Hebrew language media.
The mentioned letter states: We announce the immediate cessation of voluntary service as army reserve forces of 161 core members of the operational headquarters in the Air Force Command. The scope of our duties has been in the field of planning and monitoring Air Force operations during peace and war during the past decades.
In the continuation of this letter, it is emphasized: among us, there are members of the air staff, observers and operators of drones, and intelligence officers. We have witnessed the approval of two stages of the judicial reform bill by the parliament. If this bill is finally approved, official and short-term action has been taken, but its consequences will be far-reaching.
These Zionist officers announced that they are not ready to fulfill their duties under the shadow of the approval of the aforementioned controversial bill.
Herzi Halevi, the Chief of the General Staff of the Zionist Army, said yesterday in his words that he was worried about the reservists of this regime leaving their service, and said: Anyone who invites others to leave their military service in the form of reserve forces, the army, and Israel’s security is harmed.
Holivi said at the Knesset Security and Foreign Relations Committee meeting: “The current security challenges force us to be fully prepared.”
Meanwhile, following the angry demonstrations of protesters in occupied Palestine against Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reform program, the Hebrew media reported the suppression and arrest of dozens of Zionist protesters in clashes with the police.
Palestinian news sources reported that with the intensification of the wave of protests throughout the cities of the occupied territories against the judicial reforms, the occupied territories have once again become the scene of clashes between the protesters and the police.
