Authorities at a school in the southern state of Karnataka have discriminated against six female students, Sputnik news agency reported, citing local media sources in India.
According to the report, school officials prevented six Muslim girls from entering the classroom wearing the hijab.
A 72-second video has been released by these schoolgirls who speak in the local language of “Canary”. According to the veiled girls, they stood outside the classroom for three days to protest the ban on school officials.
According to Sputnik, the girls were also told that they were not allowed to speak three languages, Urdu, Arabic or “Biari”, while the Muslim minority in Karnataka used these languages.
