After arriving in Aden, the new UN envoy met with the head of the UAE-based Transitional Council group to bolster speculation about preparations for the ousted Yemeni president.
The new UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, has arrived in Aden, according to the international group Sach News Agency.
As soon as he arrived in Aden, Grundberg met with Eidrus al-Zubaidi, head of a group called the Southern Transitional Council (Southern Transitional Council) affiliated with the UAE, Al-Bawaba Al-Akhbariya Al-Alamiya news website reported.
The meeting was intended to pave the way for the ouster of ousted Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi (affiliated with Saudi Arabia) and the transfer of power to the Transitional Council, the website said.
According to the base, the move marks the first time that the resigned government in Yemen will be dismantled.
However, the resigned government considers Al-Zubaidi a rebel, and Al-Zubaidi does not recognize this government.
Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, a former Yemeni minister affiliated with the UAE, said that international arrangements had been made for the transfer of Hadi’s powers and the formation of a new government.
At the same time as the UN envoy arrived in Aden, a delegation from the Transitional Council headed by Yahya Ghalib al-Shoaib traveled to Germany. Al-Shoaib held a press conference in the country in order to gain prestige for the Transitional Council in European circles.

In a related report, Al-Khobar Al-Yemeni website published a report today, emphasizing that the purpose of the UN envoy’s visit is to discuss a political solution to end the Yemeni war at the same time as the army and central committees make extensive progress on several fronts.
Hans Grundberg is expected to travel to Oman after Aden to meet with a delegation from the Yemeni National Salvation Government. He will then return to Saudi Arabia.
He met with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan in Riyadh this morning.
On October 29, sources in the resigned government spoke of new deals that have so far been approved by the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Russia.

Saudi Arabia, at the head of a US-backed Arab coalition, has been waging a military invasion of Yemen and a land, air and sea siege since April 2015, claiming that it is trying to bring ousted Yemeni President Abd al-Mansour Hadi back to power.
The military aggression did not achieve any of the goals of the Saudi coalition and was only accompanied by the killing and wounding of tens of thousands of Yemenis, the displacement of millions, the destruction of the country’s infrastructure and the spread of famine and infectious diseases.
