Denmark apologizes for the desecration of the Holy Quran in Copenhagen.
According to the Anatolia news agency, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Rasmussen apologized for the desecration of the Holy Qur’an in front of the embassies of some Islamic countries, including Algeria, in Copenhagen and expressed his regret for this incident.
According to the statement published by the Algerian Foreign Ministry, Rasmussen had a telephone conversation with his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Ataf.
In this phone call, the Danish Foreign Minister expressed his regret for the desecration of the Holy Qur’an in front of the embassies of some Islamic countries, including Algeria, in Copenhagen, and apologized for this incident.
Emphasizing that these actions are unacceptable, Lars Rasmussen claimed that the said attacks are completely contrary to the goodwill of the Danish people!
Speaking to Ataf, Rasmussen said that the Danish government is working on a draft law aimed at ending such attacks, adding that it will present the draft law to the parliament.

On the 21st of July, members of an anti-Islam and extremist group in Denmark called the Danish Patriots burned a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Iraqi embassy in Copenhagen.
By raising anti-Islamic banners and chanting insulting slogans against Islam, the members of the group threw the Iraqi flag and the Quran on the ground and stepped on it.
