Palestinian groups held the closing meeting of “Convergence for Palestinian National Reconciliation” in Algeria on Thursday evening.
Shahab news agency reported that the Palestinian groups present in this meeting appreciated the role of Algeria and the president of this country in uniting these groups and the position of this country in supporting the Palestinian issue.
These groups signed the “Algeria Declaration” and emphasized the importance of national unity as a basic principle in resisting the Zionist regime and political participation between Palestinian groups through elections.
In this statement, emphasizing the need to accelerate the holding of elections in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which will be held within a year, it was clarified that the issue of ending differences, realizing national unity and national political participation should be resolved.
The Palestinian resistance groups, emphasizing their adherence to the expansion of the people’s resistance, said that the Palestinian national institutions should be united and all facilities and capabilities should be used to implement reconstruction projects and support the infrastructure so that the Palestinian nation can stand against the Zionist regime.
Meanwhile, fourteen Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Fatah, started their meeting in Algiers on Tuesday this week (October 19) and last evening announced the achievement of a national reconciliation document in this several-day meeting.
The Algerian Presidency also announced that the “Algiers’ Declaration” (the same document of national reconciliation) will be signed between the Palestinian groups.
In its statement, the Algerian presidency has announced this document as a solid basis for achieving unity among all Palestinian groups.
