Ahmed Sahaf, the spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Monday, July 31 has been set as the date for holding an extraordinary meeting of the foreign ministers of the member countries of this organization.
Referring to the Iraqi foreign ministry’s request to hold this extraordinary meeting in response to the desecration of the Holy Quran, the spokesman added: This meeting will be held after the Iraqi foreign ministry twice requested to hold it in Sweden and Denmark due to the desecration of the Holy Quran. , presented to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
It should be mentioned that the members of a Danish extreme right-wing and anti-Islamic group called “Danish Patriots”, today, Wednesday, once again desecrated a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Pakistan Embassy in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
Meanwhile, yesterday, Tuesday, July 25, this group burned copies of the Quran in front of the Turkish and Egyptian embassies in Copenhagen. In addition, two similar incidents occurred in Sweden on June 28 and July 20, which drew strong condemnation from Islamic countries.
