Consultation of the Shiite Coordination Board with the Sadr movement to form an agreement government.
According to al-Madan, tensions in the Iraqi political arena have eased following a joint meeting between the Iraqi prime minister and president and a Shiite coordination delegation.
According to the report, after the level of tensions in Iraq eased, the forces present in the Shiite Coordination Board have keyed in their consultations with the Sadr faction to form an agreement government.
In this regard, Abbas al-Maliki, a member of the Coalition for the Rule of Law, states: The news published in some media outlets about the departure of Nouri al-Maliki from the Shiite Coordination Board is untrue and should not be ignored.
He added: “Some media outlets raise such rumors with the aim of diverting public opinion and also realizing political achievements.” In our view, the Shiite Coordinating Council is able to form a larger parliamentary faction. We are currently consulting with influential political groups.
The member of the Coalition for the Rule of Law said: “We have held consultations in order to return the Sadr faction to the Shiite Coordination Board.” We welcome the return of the Sadr faction to this delegation so that we can form a larger faction.
