Consultation between the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament and the Turkish Foreign Minister.
According to al-Farat News, the water issue was at the top of the consultations between the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament and the Turkish Foreign Minister.
Mohammad Al-Halbousi, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, emphasized on the economic cases in the meeting with Hakan Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister.
The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen mutual cooperation in all fields including economic, security, oil case and the need to resolve disputes in the export case and agree on a permanent committee between the two countries to resolve the water case.
Al-Halbousi and Fidan also reviewed the developments in the region and the importance of coordination between Iraq and Turkey in areas of common importance.
Al-Halbousi emphasized the need to create a solution for the water problem and Iraq’s access to a fair share of water increases the release of water to the Tigris and Euphrates and the importance of bilateral cooperation in this important field and the use of Turkey’s experiences in improving water systems in Iraq.
The Turkish Foreign Minister also expressed his country’s support for Iraq and readiness to cooperate in order to resolve the differences between the two countries and cooperate in all fields.
This is while Fidan previously met and talked with Hadi Ameri, head of the Badr Organization of Iraq, in addition to the president and prime minister of Iraq.
