Congressman: America’s presence in Syria is a gift to ISIS.
The Republican congressman who proposed the plan to withdraw American troops from Syria said that many of those who were financially supported by America against Assad were ISIS.
Florida Republican Representative Matt Gates, who introduced the bill to withdraw US troops from Syria, stated that the rebels that Washington funded to fight Syrian President Bashar al-Assad were flying the flag of ISIS.
The bill for the withdrawal of American troops from Syria was not approved in the US House of Representatives yesterday (Wednesday) with 103 votes in favor against 321 votes against.
Matt Gates had presented the draft of the above plan to the US House of Representatives, according to which US President Joe Biden would be required to withdraw the 900 US troops who are still stationed in Syria.
In the House of Representatives of the United States, he addressed those who wanted the continued presence of American troops in Syria and said: “There is no moderate yet. Sometimes the rebels we were funding to fight Assad would change course and fly the ISIS flag, so it’s silly to say we have to be in Syria to stop ISIS, when our presence for Syria is in Syria. Some cases have been the best gift for ISIS.
