Ahmed Mansour, an Emirati human rights activist, was arrested in 2017 and sentenced to 10 years in prison the following year for allegedly criticizing the UAE government and tarnishing his country’s image on social media.
He has been held in solitary confinement in Al-Sadr Prison since March 20, 2017, in conditions contrary to international standards and law. The monitoring of the UAE security forces in the torture of Ahmad Mansour has been proven.
