China will soon take a position on the Ukrainian War.
According to Sputnik, the director of the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced the announcement of the country’s position on the war in Ukraine in the near future.
“Wang Yi”, director of the Central Foreign Office of China, announced this Saturday that China will present a draft document by the end of February, based on which the country’s position on the Ukraine crisis will be determined.
In his speech at the Munich Security Conference, this senior official of the Chinese Foreign Ministry mentioned that in the Ukraine issue, Beijing’s position in support of peace talks is summed up. Beijing will present a text on its position on a political solution to the Ukraine crisis and advocate for peace and dialogue.
According to Wang Yi, in the document that will be presented soon, China’s position on Ukraine contains the proposals made by Xi Jinping. According to this document, the preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty should be respected, the goals and principles of the United Nations Charter should be observed, legitimate security concerns should be taken seriously, and all efforts that should be considered for peace should be supported.
Previously, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that China is watching Russia’s war against Ukraine and is waiting for Moscow to win the war before taking strategic steps.
