China: The United States has killed more Muslims than any other country in the world
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in response to the US proposal to hold a meeting on the situation of Muslims in the Xinjiang region that the US had killed more than 800,000 people through war and military operations in more than 80 countries.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying referred to the country’s human rights record in response to the US proposal to hold a virtual meeting on the situation in the Xinjiang region.
She said: “Some in the United States are buying the stories of a few false witnesses and experts, but they are refusing to listen to the voices of many more of those false actors, and the voices of 1.4 billion Chinese, including 25 million ethnic groups in Xinjiang.”
She further condemned the US human rights record and said: “The US has killed more Muslims than any other country in the world.” The United States has killed more than 800,000 people and displaced tens of millions in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria by waging wars and conducting counter-terrorism operations in more than 80 countries.
He also condemned the meeting on Monday, saying that using the United Nations as a platform for such programs was in fact an insult to the international body.
At a daily news conference at the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Chunying called on UN member states not to attend the meeting, which will be proposed by the United States, Germany, and Britain.
“The United States has partnered with a number of other countries to use the resources and platform of the United Nations to attack and discredit China and to serve its own interests,” he said.
“These [actions] are an insult to the United Nations,” said a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, noting that the organizers of the meeting were using the concept of human rights as a political tool to interfere in China’s internal affairs.
