China: BRICS seeks to reform the world order.
According to Sputnik, on the eve of the “BRICS” summit, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced by publishing a statement that the BRICS group supports multilateralism in the world.
In this statement, it is emphasized that “the group of BRICS countries is committed to defending multilateralism and reforming the system governing the world. “BRICS is an important platform and framework for cooperation between developing countries.”
Another part of the statement states that “BRICS, as an important platform for cooperation with emerging markets and developing countries, seeks to support pluralism and is working hard to increase the representation of emerging markets and developing countries.”, and strengthen their right to vote, make reforms in the global governance system.
The BRICS Summit and the BRICS Group of Friends meeting will be held in South Africa from August 22 to 24.
The BRICS group currently consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Currently, South Africa heads this group.
The term BRICS is formed by combining the first letter of the English name of these countries. 30% of the gross production and 40% of the world’s population are defined in BRICS.
