China and Algeria emphasize strengthening “strategic partnership”.

Algeria is trying to strengthen economic relations with the world’s second-largest economy, while this country is strategically important for China due to its location along the Mediterranean Sea.
The President of China said in this meeting that China and Algeria will cooperate in various fields including infrastructure, petrochemical, space, nuclear and renewable energy.
He said: “Algeria is Beijing’s natural partner, and the two sides will cooperate in various fields, including space, nuclear and renewable energy.”
According to Al-Mayadin’s report, the President of Algeria, who visited China for the first time since assuming the presidency of this country (2019), emphasized that Algeria is ready to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership with China in order to support economic and social development.
He said: “Algeria is ready for close cooperation with China and strategic cooperation in international and regional affairs”.
After the meeting of the presidents of the two countries, several bilateral agreements were also signed between China and Algeria, including in the fields of communication, sustainable urban development, and trade.

China, Brazil, Russia, India, and South Africa are members of BRICS and the name BRICS is derived from joining the first letters of the English names of these countries.
