British doctors are on strike.
British doctors announced a new round of strikes for four days in August.
British doctors will stage a new round of strikes for four days in August to protest their pay conditions, the British Medical Association trade union has announced.
According to “Press Association” news agency, according to the announcement of this trade union, this round of strikes will be implemented between Friday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 15.
The union asked the British government to resume negotiations with its representatives for a new agreement on salaries.
This new round of strikes by doctors in the UK comes as previous strikes have canceled tens of thousands of medical appointments and doubled the pressure on the NHS.
The trade union “Association of Hospital Specialists and Consultants” of the United Kingdom has announced that the doctors covered by this union are also participating in this strike.
This round of British doctors’ strike will be held 9 days after thousands of new British intern doctors started working in hospitals. A significant number of these practicing physicians join these unions before they begin their careers. The unions have encouraged these trainee doctors to join the strikes alongside their new colleagues, the Press Association reported.
