Britain, Australia, and Canada criticize the settlements of the Zionist regime.
The foreign ministers of England, Australia, and Canada criticized the settlements of the Zionist regime in the West Bank.
England, Australia and Canada have asked the Israeli cabinet to cancel its new decision to issue permits for the construction of new residential units in the West Bank.
The foreign ministers of the three countries have said that they are “deeply concerned” about the continuing cycle of violence.
In recent days, the Zionist regime approved the construction of 5700 new residential units in the West Bank. A few weeks ago, Tel Aviv facilitated the process of illegal construction in the West Bank by making changes in the process of obtaining permits for the continuation of settlement constructions.
The foreign ministers of England, Australia and Canada stated in a joint statement: “The continued development of settlements is an obstacle to peace and has a negative effect on efforts to achieve a two-state solution through negotiations.” We ask the Israeli government to cancel these decisions.”
The Zionist regime, which had previously promised the Palestinian Authority in Jordan and Egypt meetings to stop settlement construction, as usual, Khalaf promised and issued a license to build about six thousand new residential units.
The Zionists claim that this occupying action is a response to last week’s martyrdom operation in the town of “Aili” which resulted in the death of four Zionists and the wounding of four others. Mohan and Shahada and Khaled Sabah were the leaders of this operation.
The American government, which behind the scenes supports the Zionist occupation, recently claimed that it has warned the Zionist cabinet about the construction of any new settlements. Some Zionist officials, however, said that they have informed America about this decision, and by the end of this year, the construction of thousands of other Zionist units will be approved.
Hundreds of thousands of Israelis live in Jewish settlements built by the Zionist regime after the 1967 war and the occupation of Palestinian lands in the West Bank and East of Jerusalem.
The United Nations and most countries of the world consider the settlements of the Zionist regime illegal because this regime occupied these lands in the 1967 war and based on the Geneva Convention, any construction by the occupier in the occupied lands is prohibited.
Palestinians seek to form an independent state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, with Jerusalem as its capital. They also want Israel to withdraw from the territories occupied in 1967, but Israel refuses to return to the pre-Six Day War borders.
